“Pizza Chef” is a puzzle game but with some twists which make it kind of different. In fact, is also a role game, since it turns you into a pizza chef cooking pizza for the impatient customers. Even when the idea is to create matches of three-in-a-row, there are some particular characteristics of this game. Let’s take a look at the basic rules.
• The pizzeria shows a board of squares sections in the middle on which you can see different ingredients or pizza toppings. Of course, you have to create matches of three-in-a-row with them.
• You can create matches by swapping toppings clicking with your mouse. When you create the match, those toppings disappear from the board and are filled up with new toppings falling from above. At the same time, the squares section corresponding to the toppings involved in your match are marked, creating a suitable surface on which you can cook pizzas.
• Customers walk in the pizza shop and order a pizza. You have to cook the pizza by placing the pizza on the sections you have made available on the board creating matches.
• After a couple of seconds you place a pizza on the board, the pizza is done and the customers pays. If it took you too long to get the pizza ready, the customer will leave and you’ll lose money.
• After a shift, you can use the money collected to buy some upgrades.
When you first enter the game, you are asked for a player name and then you’ll see the welcome screen with the following options on it:
- Change Player: after you create one or more players, they’ll be saved. When you enter into this submenu, you’ll be asked for a name as a new player. It’s possible to have a list of different players and record their performance. This way, you can play home tournaments with family and friends.
- Play: this option leads you to the first level of the game and you’ll be seeing a brief introduction to the game.
- Options: this is the menu from which you can set some game options like, sound volume, music volume, 3D mode, full screen, and show hints.
- High Scores and Quit: no further explanation required.
When you’re playing the game, you can pause the game clicking on the Menu button. You’ll be seeing a pop-up dialog window with the following options:
• Continue: to come back to the game.
• How to Play: to see the help to the game.
